Homesickness usually peaks around **week 6-10**. It gets better. What helps:
- Keep a small routine (a walk, a coffee, a call home once a week — not every day).
- Meet one other au pair in person this month.
- Cook something from home for your host family.
- Talk to your Local Counselor if it feels heavy for more than two weeks.
